The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire has Commissioned an elevator donated to the ministry by the Victim Support Fund, VSF in Abuja.
While commissioning the Elevator at the Ministry headquarters in Abuja, Dr Ehanire stated that the experience of both staff and visitors in navigating the building and attending meetings, especially on the 6th floor, has been hindered by limited service of the elevator.
He noted that the elevator which states maximum capacity of 13 persons with a total weight limit of 1000kg is limited to the capacity of 6 people based on social distancing directive will as well ease the stress for staff and visitors.
He said from the onset of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, VSF made commitments to support the health sector in various ways including, support to the Ministerial Expert Advisory Committee on COVID-19 Health Sector Response (MEACoC-HSR) and the Secretariat and also with a new elevator which was commissioned.
The Victim Support Fund (VSF) has been supporting government efforts at different levels, in various aspects even before COVID-19.
The Ministry further appreciated the Chairman of Victim Support Fund, General TY Danjuma and the entire team of VSF for their continuous support.
