Prof Abubakar Rasheed was among the Chief Executive Officers in the Education sector whose tenure were last week renewed by President Mohammadu Buhari. Arriving the maitama office of the National Universities Commission NUC the Executive Secretary was welcomed to an arousing reception from both the management and staff of the commission. Prof Rasheed who was full of gratitude to president Mohammadu Buhari for the confidence reimposed on him to led the commission for another term of 5 years, pledged to continue to provide good leadership to the nation’s University System. The NUC boss further applauded the University System for it’s continued support and cooperation describing the giant strides recorded as a product of collective responsibility. Meanwhile,both deputy Executive Secretaries of the Commission were part of delegation that welcomed their boss. In their separate remarks,they described Prof Rasheed as an administrative guru that has a lot to offer the Nigerian University system. The high point of the brief ceremony was presentation of gifts to Prof Rasheed by various departments as well as domestic workers of the Commission.
