Federal Government says the minimum facility that can be provided for armed security personnel is not just safety but conducive workplace that will necessitate their performance.
Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola stated this while commissioning a newly reconstructed Office Complex on Enugu-Abakaliki Road Emene for the Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
In a signed statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, ACI Amos Okpu and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA, the Minister charged Officers and Men of the Command to emplace high maintenance culture, serene work environment and transparent service delivery to ensure that people who come to the Complex for any service get treated decently.
Earlier, the Comptroller General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede advised Officers and Men of the Command to make good use of the Building adding that the Service is retooling all its processes and procedures for enhanced service delivery.
The State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who was represented by the deputy Governor, Cecilia Ezeilo described the gesture as a demonstration of strong commitment and leadership of the Buhari-led administration.
The Enugu State Command Building which was earlier slated for commissioning on the 24th October got torched by arsonists on 22nd October, 2020 during the #ENDSARS protest.
The commissioning of the Enugu State Command Complex brings the total number of Complexes already built and delivered to eleven.
