The Nigerian Defence has done a minor reshuffling in its information department to enhance its ongoing fight against terrorism, banditry and kidnapping among other crimes in the country. At the handing and taking over ceremony at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, the newly appointed, Director, Defence Information, Major General, Benjamin Sawyerr said as the image maker of the Force, he will ensure that the mandate of keeping Nigeria safe from both internal and external aggression is achieved. He said he will build on the existing synergy with other security agencies to finally tackle the huge security challenges bedeviling Nigeria as a nation. Major General Benjamin Sawyerr took over as the Director, Defence Information from Air Commodore Wap Maigida who was there on an Acting Capacity.
