Troops Kill 42 Bandits, Boko Haram, Destroys IPOB Hideouts In Fresh Operation – DHQ

About 42 criminals elements including bandits have been neutralized by troops of the Nigerian Army in diverse operation in the Northern part of the country. The Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brigadier General Bernard Onyeuko stated this at a news conference in Abuja to highlight strides recorded from 16th – 29th July 2021. He said the feat also led to the rescue of kidnapped victims, arrest and recovery of large cache of ammunitions among other successes in Zamfara, Katsina and Plateau states. General Onyeuko said troops also tracked and arrested a notorious criminal that aid and abate crimes in Benue and Taraba States. He further noted that in the course of the operation, troops discovered and destroyed hideouts of IPOB and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) where explosives are produced in Anambra and Enugu States. While Commending the enormous sacrifices of troops in various operations across the Country the Military High Command urged the public to continue to support the efforts of the Armed forces by providing credible and timely information that will facilitate proactive engagements.
