The Industrial Training Fund says it will not relent in its efforts of equipping youths across the country with employable skills for effective job creation and economic development. The Director General, Industrial Training Fund, Sir, Joseph Ari while playing host to the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum who paid him a visit at the Abuja Corporate Office of the agency. Represented by the Director, Training and Vocational Studies, Lami Dakwa, the ITF boss said the agency has trained thousands of Nigerian youths in different trade areas as such the Governor, made the right decision in seeking their collaboration. As for Governor Babagana Zulum who acknowledged that the visit was to find ways of collaboration with ITF on specialized training of youths for vocational skills said he has always combined kinetic and non-kinetic approach to addressed issues of insecurity in his state as a result of the Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorism. The Governor who has in the last two years built nine different vocational skills centres in Borno State to train youths said area of focus in the new partnership will cover plumbing, mechatronics and electrical installations. Governor Zulum and his team were however, conducted round to inspect facilities in different laboratories and training sections in the Model Skills Training Centre of the ITF by its management.
