The Department of State Services (DSS) has confirmed the raid of the Ibadan home of Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Ogboho by a team of joint security operatives. Spokesperson of the Service, Dr Peter Afunanya, who disclosed this at a news conference to parade suspects linked to Sunday Ogboho at the service headquarters in Abuja. Afunanya noted that the raid was based on intelligence that Igboho was stockpiling arms to cause unrest. He said the security operatives on getting to the location were attacked by six Igboho’s boys who engaged them in a gun battle. Meanwhile, information available to the service indicates that Igboho escaped during the gun battle. Illegal arms recovered in Ogboho:s house include seven AK-47 rifles and thousands of ammunition .
