President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a six man ministerial team to engage with Twitter over the recent suspension of the operations of the microblogging and social networking service in Nigeria.
Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
The Federal Government’s team Chaired by the Information and Culture minister also comprises the Attorney General of the Federation, Minister of Justice, Communications and Digital Economy, Foreign Affairs, Works and Housing as well as Minister of State for Labour and Employment and other relevant government agencies.
Recall that Twitter wrote President Buhari seeking to engage with the federal government and chat a way forward following the indefinite suspension of its operations in Nigeria, for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.
