Ahead of the Anambra Governorship Elections slated for 6th November,2021, the Labour Party has dissociated itself from the ongoing sale of nomination forms in the state. According to the party, nomination forms for the Governorship election are yet to be sold until talks between the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress on efforts to re organize the party is concluded. Addressing Newsmen in Abuja, acting National Chain of the party, Comrade Maria Lebeke warned the public on the activities of one Julius Abure who she claimed is an imposter and do not represent the interest of the party. She said the party is presently undergoing reorganization in preparation for an all inclusive national convention as ordered by a federal high court. The party further stated that a new leadership that will administer over it’s affairs especially as related to the Anambra Governorship poll and other future elections is expected to emerge at the convention.
