Nuhu Bamali Poly Abduction: NAPS Issues 7 Days Ultimatum For Release Of Students.

The National Association Of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has issues a 7 Days Ultimatum to the Kaduna State Government secure the safe release of Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic students abducted by Bandits. Report indicates that Gunmen on Thursday 10th June 2021 invaded the polytechnic and abducted yet to be ascertained number of students and staff. Speaking at a peace meeting to unite factions of the Association in Abuja, former NAPS president Tijjani Musa condemned the development describing it as a threat to education in Nigeria. He further called for the safe release of the students and demanded that all tiers of government do the needful to guarantee safety in schools. The challenge of funding and prioritizing the education sector was also top on issues of discuss at the briefing. The students however threatened to embark on protest if both the Kaduna and federal governments fail to secure the release of their colleagues at the expiration of the ultimatum.
