Nigerians Call For Fast Linking of NIN To SIM, Score NCC High
There is no doubt that Nigeria, the largest black nation in the world has made significant progress in the telecommunication sector of the economy. This progress thought, not without some challenges could largely be attributed to reforms embarked upon by the regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC. Channel Network Afrique, feels the pulse of some Nigeria’s residents to know what they think about the way the sector is being managed and regulated by the NCC. They also spoke on need for improved service delivery by the Nigerian Communications Commission. While commending NCC for linking the Bank Verification Number, BVN, National Identification Number, NIN with SIM Cards, they further called on government to take issues of infrastructure very seriously. Only recently, the Nigerian Communications Commission promised to introduce disruptive technologies in balancing healthy competition to ensure sustainable telecoms industry growth and development in Nigeria. With all this plans in place, it is expected that in not to distant time, the telecom sector will be for the better.
