The Managing Director of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation NAIC Mrs Folashade Joseph has assured of plans to generate over 20 billion naira premium and payment of claims of 10 billion naira annually in the next 2 years. The NAIC chief Executive gave the indication at a news conference in Abuja to commemorate the commencement of her second term tenure of office. Mrs Joseph was appointed as managing director chief executive of NAIC by President Mohammadu Buhari four years ago. Expressing gratitude for her reappointment, she assured stakeholders in the agricultural sector on plans to hit the ground running. This the NAIC MD noted will include future recapitalization of the corporation, introduction of new products and a staff strength of 1000 employees. The briefing was not only about future projections for the Corporation as Mrs Joseph also highlighted some of the achievements recorded in the last four years. The National Agricultural Insurance Corporation was established in 1987 with mandate to provide Agricultural risks insurance cover to Nigerian farmers.
