The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has disassociated itself from a current trend of fake recruitment advert and exercise taking place on various websites where unsuspected Nigerians are being duped.

In a signed statement by the service Public Relations Officers, DCI James Sunday made available to Channel Network Afrique, the NIS Comptroller General adviced Nigerians against subscribing to it saying is a scam.

He said, the Service recruitment exercise is always been advertised in reputable national dailies, television and on its website: www.immigration.gov.ng and it is FREE.

He added that successful candidates who have sat for the exam will be contacted through verifiable and credible platforms and not fake websites.

“The Comptroller General is hereby advising the general public to desist from patronizing them and to report any suspected case to the following platform and telephone number: nis.servicom@nigeriaimmigration.gov.ng, 07080607900 and nearest Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission (ICPC) and other Anti-Corruption Bodies nationwide” DCI James noted.

The service further advised the general public against paying money in whatever form to anybody or organization, as its recruitment is FREE.
