His arrival at the National arcade,Abuja venue of the ceremony signalled the commencement of the 2020 armed forces remembrance day. The solemn event was held at the National Arcade,three arms zone Abuja. Prayers were offered to signal the commencement of the ceremony while a minute silence was observed in honour of the heroes who laid down their lives for the country. High point of the annual ceremony includes the traditional laying of wreaths, National salute and the signing of armed forces remembrance register and release of pigeons by the president Buhari. For some of the widow of the fallen heroes, more support from the government and Nigerians will go a long way to put smiles on their faces. The Armed force remembrance is observed every January 15 to commemorate the sacrifices of fallen heroes in keeping the nation as one United entity.
