Fire Incident At Our Headquarters Will Not Affect Operations- NIS The Nigeria Immigration Service has denied insinuations that the fire incident at its headquarters gutted the entire administrative building. NIS Comptroller General, Mohammad Babandede who alongside the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Interior, Shuaibu Belgore made the clarification at an on the spot assessment tour of the inferno which occurred on Sunday 11 January 2020. He however assured that the service is on top of the situation. Speaking further on the development, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Interior, Shuaibu Belgore says there is no cause for alarm as systems damaged by the fire are technologically backed up. The Service Call Centre, Interpol 24/7 Passenger system are among the offices affected by the Inferno.
