NIS Issues Travel Ban On 100 Air Passengers For Floating Covid19 Guildlines.
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has restricted about 100 defaulting passengers for a period of six months, from January 1st to June 30th 2021.
A signed statement by the Service Public Relations Officer, DCI Sunday James made available to Channel Network Afrique indicates that the temporary travel restrictions on the 100 passengers was due to their non compliance to the Federal Governments directives on mandatory Day-7 post arrival Covid 19 PCR test by all in bound travellers.
According to DCI James, all the affected passengers have been notified and will be prevented from passport re-issuance and travelling outside the country during the period.
He said, the NIS further warns all affected passengers to comply to avoid breaching public health protocols and refusal of departure.
“The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede has directed the relevant formations to ensure immediate compliance with the restriction order” DCI James noted.
