The Nigerian Government has set up a fourteen-man Steering Committee to effectively coordinate the certification and accreditation process of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises in the country. The Committee is also to ensure a high level of transparency and credibility on the Framework, consistent with all acceptable international standards. Speaking at the official inauguration ceremony of the National Steering Committee of the National Business Development Services Providers, Certification and Accreditation Framework, the Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment Mariam Katagum said lack of access to affordable and credible business development services has been one of the major challenges militating against the growth and development of MSMEs in the country. She said one of the major aim of the Framework is to set the standard for Business Development Service interventions by providing the mark of quality for service delivery to MSMEs in Nigeria. `
