The Nigeria Economic Summit is an annual forum for players, captains of industry and government to interact, compare notes, share experience as well as build consensus on contemporary economic issues in the country.
This year’s summit which is the 26th in its series is being hosted at a time when the country and the world economy is gradually coming out of life support due to the devastating impact of Corona Virus Pandemic.
Addressing a pre-summit news conference in Abuja, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed said the timing of the event was apt as managers of the economy solicit greater engagement to ensure quick recovery from eminent recession.
She said the summit has over the years help to shape most reform policies by the government that lead to positive economic growth and development.
