FG To Adopt Diplomacy In Resolving Nigeria-Ghana Trade War -Adebayo

The Federal Government says it will explore all diplomatic options in resolving the ongoing trade rift between Nigerian Traders in Ghana and the Ghanaian Authority. The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Richard Adebayo made this known during the inauguration of the newly elected Executives Officerd of the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) Abuja. He said consultation is in top gear at the diplomatic level between the two countries to ensure that the issue is resolved amicably. The Minister also used the occasion to commend the Chairman of CICAN Frederick Idehai, his exco and members for the existing cordial relationship as well as their commitment in giving credible and authentic reportage of the activities of the FMITI Emergency Operation Centre of the Committee on Sustainable Production and Distribution of Essential Commodity During Covid-19 Pandemic. The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Fredrick Idehai however, call on the Minister to link the association up with all the agencies he supervises for proper coordination and report of their activities for the overall benefit of the nation. The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment on September 1 inaugurated the EXCO of the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria, CICAN Abuja, after its successful election of August 28. The Executive Officers are to saddle the affairs of the association for the next two year.
