Declare State of Emergency On Insecurity, Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Urges Buhari
The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately declare a state of emergency on insecurity in the country. The Director of Administration of the Islamic body, Yusuf Nwoha who made the call at a news conference in Abuja the Nigerian capital said government must act decisively by deploying all security and military arsenal to arrest the ugly situation. He however urged the government to stop chasing shadow but deploy Intelligence to uncover sponsors, beneficiaries and perpetrators of insecurity in Nigeria. The group further appealed for sustained unity between the Christian and Muslim for the overall benefit of all.
