Breaking: NEPC Targets $200m From Export Of 7 Priority Commodities
In line with the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government diversification and zero oil revenue drive, the Nigerian Export Promotion Council is set to generate about two hundred million United States dollars within ten years in seven priority crops. The crops targeted for major export drive are: hibiscus flowers, sesame seeds, cashew, tiger nut, moringa oleifera, ginger and turmeric. Speaking before signing memoranda of understanding with some domestic stakeholders, the Executive Director, Olusegun Awolowo re-presented by the Director, Trade Information Jamie Memuduaghan said the move will expand as well as increase the nation’s share in the global market.
