Investigation On To Unravel Shoddy Deals In NZESCO, Budget Suspended – Adebayo

The Nigerian Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Adeniyi Adebayo has called for the immediate suspension of the budgetary allocation to the Nigeria Special Economic Zone Company, NZESCO until the ongoing investigation into its incorporation is completed. The Minister who made the call when he appeared before the nation’s Senate Committee on Appropriation said NZESCO is a noble initiative but the processes of setting up the firm by his predecessor has been the issue of public debate which he is willing to unravel and correct. He explained that the Nigeria Special Economy Zone Company is not a private firm as erroneously presented in the public space but a brainchild of the ministry to drive project Made In Nigeria for Export.
