Nigeria is not an exception, that is why the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria, CICAN, Abuja, organised a high power economic conference to deepen the conversation around key economic issues required to push the Nigerian economy to an enviable growth level in order to move the country from the status of a sleeping giant to an active giant in Africa. One swift move by the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, after maning the saddle of leadership of the country in 2015 was the economic diversification agenda which led to more emphasis on agriculture, Exports among other initiatives which the results are presently speaking for itself. That decision also brought about some critical policy reforms in some frontline agencies of the ministry that led to the country’s recent improvement in the World Bank ranking of the Ease of doing business.
