The Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary as well deserved, citing his administration’s ongoing economic reforms and development initiatives.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Chukwudi Enekwechi, and Secretary, Segun Ogedengbe, the group said the reforms introduced since President Tinubu assumed office on May 29, 2023, were necessary to reposition the country’s economy despite the temporary challenges faced by Nigerians.

According to the group, measures such as the removal of fuel subsidy and the harmonisation of the foreign exchange market have imposed short term hardships but are expected to deliver long term economic benefits.

TMV expressed confidence that the reforms would restore Nigeria to a path of sustainable growth and development while laying the foundation for future prosperity.

The group also noted that President Tinubu’s emergence as the APC presidential candidate would provide an opportunity to consolidate achievements recorded in key sectors, including infrastructure development, power, agriculture, food security and economic stability.

The statement highlighted initiatives such as the Student Loan Fund, the Consumer Credit Scheme (CREDICORP), increased allocations to states, and ongoing infrastructure projects in the Federal Capital Territory as part of the administration’s accomplishments.

TMV further welcomed the President’s message of appreciation to party members and supporters following the primary election, noting his acknowledgement of the challenges associated with the reform process and his optimism about the country’s future.

The group said it remained confident in the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a policy framework capable of driving significant national transformation if fully implemented.

They also called on Nigerians to continue supporting the Tinubu administration as it pursues its development objectives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
