Over the years, the popular AYA -Nyanya Route, outskirts of the nation’s capital Abuja is known for persistent gridlock especially during morning and evening rush hours. commuters plying the route usually spend two hours or more for a journey of atleast fifteen minutes to get to the city centre or back home after work. However, respite seems to come their way with the inauguration of a 10 man taskforce drawn from the military,police and other paramilitary organisations by the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammad Bello on September 19,2019 with mandate to decongest the gridlock. The taskforce immediately commenced operations, a development that has brought so much joy to residents in the Nyanya/Mararaba axis.
