The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education, Senator Mohammed Dandutse says technical issues recorded during the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination are minimal and are being effectively managed.

The Lawmaker stated this during the committee’s monitoring visit to Computer-Based Test centres in Abuja, as part of its oversight function to ensure the credibility of the examination conducted by JAMB.

However, the committee observed a major disruption at the Good Success CBT Centre, Utako where the examination had yet to commence due to technical glitches, leaving several candidates stranded and frustrated.

Responding to concerns, Senator Dandutse assured that the challenges recorded would not undermine the overall integrity of the examination process.

Meanwhile, JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, has assured that all affected candidates will be given another opportunity to sit for the examination.

Both the Senate Committee and JAMB have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity for all candidates.
