The Nigerian Police Force has dismissed speculations on upsurge of kidnapping and other criminal activities in the Federal Capital Territory and it’s environs. Abuja in recent times has been subject of social media discuss over an alleged rise in kidnapping and other related crimes. Debunking the rumours, Force Public Relations Officer , Frank MBA in an exclusive chat with CNA News described the reports as fake saying Abuja and the entire Federal Capital Territory have a robust anti crime architecture that is continuously rigged to effectively tackle prevailing and emerging crimes. He further denied insinuations that 5 persons were kidnapped within a space of 24 hours. The police image maker further spoke on steps taken by the police to address small pocket crimes including ONE CHANCE in the metropolis. The Police however urged residents of the Capital Territory to ignore the rumours and go about their businesses without any fear of molestation, harassment and attack.
