The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has called on the newly appointed Controller General (CG) of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), Samuel Adeyemi, to introduce innovative policies that will reposition the nation’s firefighting sector.
The Minister gave the charge during the official decoration ceremony of the new CG, held in Abuja.
Emphasizing the critical role of the Fire Service in safeguarding national assets and supporting economic prosperity, Tunji-Ojo urged the new leadership to adopt modern firefighting techniques and regulatory practices that align with global standards.
In his response, CG Adeyemi expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the trust reposed in him, promising to deliver on the mandate of the Service with dedication and professionalism.
