WAES: President Tinubu’s Special Envoy Visits President Sissoco Of Guinea Bissau

The Special Envoy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the West Africa Economic Summit (WAES), and Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu said the project would revolutionise the integration process in the region.

She disclosed this when she met with President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo in a closed door session.

In a statement signed by the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA Ambassador, Odumegwu-Ojukwu said the West Africa Economic Summit (WAES) is a legacy project of President Tinubu.

She also used the visit to deliver the Special Invitation from President Tinubu to President Sissoco to attend the First West African Economic Summit (WAES) scheduled for 20th to 21st June 2025.

Receiving the invitation, President Sissoco appreciated President Tinubu for the historic move to bring increased momentum to the integration efforts of the region.

He however, promised to give the Summit his utmost support with a high-quality delegation to Abuja.

The Envoy and her entourage left Bissau for Accra, Ghana, in continuation of the national assignment.
