JAMB Warns Against Illegal admissions, Guides Newly Estab. Institutions On Admission Procedures.

Ahead of the 2025/2026 academic session,the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Prof Ishaq Oloyede has warned institutions against illegal admissions.

This is as the JAMB Registrar insists that admissions must be conducted inline with the Board’s Central Admission Processing system (CAPS).

Prof Oloyede gave the indication at a one day interactive meeting with principal officers of newly established, upgraded and adopted Universities, Polytechnics and Colleagues of Education in Abuja.

The JAMB boss further stated that the interactive session intends to introduce the institutions into proper method of admission using the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and the operations of the Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS).

The meeting was attended by Heads of Regulatory agencies and other stakeholders who in their remarks commended the initiative saying it will ensure a seamless admission.

JAMB further used the opportunities to indicate its readiness for the 2025 UTME, insisting that it has taken steps to address some of the challenges encountered in the Mock UTME.
