Just In: Review Your security Approach, Cardinal Onaiyekan Urges Nigerian Government.

The Catholic Arch Bishop of Abuja, his eminence Cardinal John Onayekan has deplored the Federal government for the poor handling of the nation’s security situation. Speaking at a press conference to mark his fifty years of priestly ordination, Onaiyekan wants the Federal government to admit it has a dicey situation in it’s hands before exploring solutions to address the challenge. Speaking on the proposed RUGA initiative, Cardinal Onaiyekan blamed the government of the day for leaving room for all kinds of conspiracy theory to trail the proposal. Onaiyekan who turned 75 in January 2019 used the occasion to correct the anomaly in the continuous illegal detention of the leader of the Islamic movement of Nigeria, sheik ibraheem el Zakzaky and the proscription of the religious group. On the just concluded ministerial screening, by the Senate, Onaiyekan called for restraint, as the action of the new ministerial nominees in their first three months may just let Nigerians into their level of competence .
