5 Civil Servants Bag Accountability Lab Nigeria Integrity Awards.
Five civil servants from across the country have been honoured with awards for standing against Corruption and upholding accountability in public service.
The Awardees were honored at the 2024 edition of the Integrity Icon summit and award Organised by the Accountability Lab Nigeria in partnership with the John D and Catherine T MacArthur Foundation, Luminate and Yar’Adua Foundation to name and fame honest government officials.
Speaking at the event, the Country Director, Accountability Lab Nigeria, Friday Odeh indicated the processes for selecting the recipients of the awards saying they were chosen for upholding accountability in their work places.
Delivery the keynote address, the Executive Director,African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development, Otive Igbuzor Who spoke on the theme, Building Trust in Government Processes:the Power of Ethical Behaviors and positive Norms said the task of building trust in governance is a collective responsibility that demands deliberate actions from all stakeholders.
Meanwhile, some of the recipients including a police inspector,Kamoshi Tada expressed joy at the award and recognition saying it will spur them to do more in their various capacities.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the icon awards to the recipients.
