The Managing Director, TotalEnergies EP Nig. Ltd Matthieu Buoyer has been accused of Criminal Forgery of a Document he presented to Rt Hon. Kwamoti Laori-led House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee investigating alleged wrongful and unlawful termination of the employment of Comrade Igbini Emmanuel, who was a labour Union Leader of the Company in the 1990s.

In a letter written to the Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee, Comrade Igbini accused Buoyer of submitting a Forged Letter to the Committee claiming to be the Written Approval the Company sought and obtained from the then Minister of Petroleum Resources and the then Director of Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) for the termination of his Employment.

According to Comrade Igbini, the Letter never emanated from both the Minister of Petroleum Resources and Director of DPR.

He requested the Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee to invite the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Chief Executive of Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) Engr Gbenga Komolafe, and Comrade Festus Osifo (National President of PENGASSAN) as witnesses to unravel the Truth of the Case and the alleged Forged Document.

It will be recalled that Comrade Igbini has filed a Petition against the Company for the unlawful and wrongful termination of his Employment on August 2000 allegedly as desperate attempt by the Management of the company to cover up massive corruption, massive fraud, crude oil theft, wrongful termination of employment of Nigerian Workers, racial discrimination, assault of Nigerian Workers particularly Labour Leaders and other unethical conducts which he led workers of the company to expose and oppose.

The Investigation Hearing of the Petition continues on Monday November 18th at the House of Representatives.
