The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has been conferred with an award of excellence by the Unilag Alumni Association, FCT chapter.
Presenting the award to the IGP at the Police Headquarters in Abuja, the Chairman of the alumni Association, Aliu Akoshile said it is in recognition of his contribution to the safety of lives and properties in the country.
He said having monitored the nations top Police boss since his graduation from the University of Lagos, the Alumni finds him worthy of the good Ambassador award.
Akoshile who reeled out some of the Alumni achievements, solicited the IGP support in its interventions in the education sector.
Receiving the award, the IGP said the honour will spur him to do more in the discharge of the demands of his office.
IGP Egbetokun is an alumnus of the university of Lagos having graduated from the ivory towers in 1987.
