In line with the Federal Government’s move to bring the informal sector into the economic value chain, the Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians has been identified as the goose that lays the golden egg.

To this end, members of the association were recently trained and certified by the Industrial Training Fund, ITF and the Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria, CIPMN to be in tandem with artisans from other climes.

Speaking at a news conference ahead of its exhibition and fair, the National Coordinator, Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians, (ASNAT), Adeshina Akinyemi said the programme will promote skills development, craftsmanship and national unity.

The ASNAT head said the association cannot do it alone without the support of stakeholders from federal, state, local governments and the private sector.

The three-day Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Exhibition and Fair, is scheduled for Monday, September 30th to Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024.
