The Federal Government has returned to class over four million out-of-school children in one year.
The Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman disclosed this in Abuja at a news conference to mark his one year in office.
Explaining that the feat was recorded through the DOTS policy of the ministry, Prof Mamman said the expectation is to take 3 to 4 million out-of-school children annually from the street to the class in the next three years.
The Minister who also highlighted other interventions in the sector,disclosed ongoing plans to arrest and Prosecute Nigerians parading fake degree certificates acquired from universities in Benin Republic and Togo Prof Mamman further hinted on the school safety agenda of the ministry.
He expressed optimism that the nations education system will be completely transformed within the shortest time, especially with the level of support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
