NNPCL: Group Disagrees With Auditor-General, SERAP On Alleged $2.04bn, ₦164bn Oil Fraud

A civil society group says findings has revealed that the alleged $2.04 billion and N164 billion oil revenues, fraud by the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL is false and unfounded.

National Civil Society Council of Nigeria who disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja said, the recently published 2020 audited report by the Auditor-General of the Federation that claims the NNPC failed to remit the alleged money into the Federation Account, was incorrect.

National Civil Society Council of Nigeria said, a thorough investigation was conducted and their findings would be made public at the forthcoming National Civil Society Conversation on the Petroleum Industry and Petroleum Industry Act.

The National Civil Society Council of Nigeria’s Executive Director however, called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms in the oil industry.
