Dangote Saga: Group Condemns Call For Sack Of NMDPRA Boss

A youth group, under the aegis of Northern Youth Frontiers, condemned the call by the House of Representatives, to sack, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Authority (NMDPRA), Farouk Ahmed.

The group said it is appalled by the resolution of the lower chamber, to sack the NMDPRA Boss over alleged unguarded comments on local refineries, calling it gross injustice.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja, Northwest Coordinator, Northern Frontiers, Amb. Abdul Usman, said the move has exposed the lawmakers allegedly taking sides, which shows monopoly and is detrimental to the development of the Country.

He also called on the the House of Reps to retract its resolution and uphold fairness, also to thoroughly conduct further investigation into the recent Dangote Refinery saga. The group also demand for the protection of whistleblower and industry regulators who dare to speak the truth to power.
