The federal government is soliciting the support of State Governors for a more robust and effective implementation of the National school feeding programme.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on School feeding program, Dr Yetunde Adeniji gave the indication at a 2 day training workshop held in Abuja for the domestication of the AUDA-NEPAD Continental school feeding guidelines for Nigerian state officials.
She admonished state governments to key into the programme as part of ongoing effort to reposition the educational sector.
The presidential aide further charged the participants to deliberate and explore workable means of implementing the school feeding programme.
The theme of the 2 day workshop is “Encouraging state -driven implementation and best practices for school feeding towards local Agricultural value chain, community engagement and economic development.”
