As President Bola Tinubu clocks one year in office, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume has indicated hope for a better Nigeria under the renewed Hope agenda of the present administration.
The former Governor of Benue state said this in Abuja at the public presentation of a book titled, “365 days of Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidency: Resetting the strategic foundation for a new Nigeria.’’
The SGF explained that in spite of the global economic challenges, the Tinubu administration is on the right tract, with successes already achieved in key initiatives including fuel subsidy removal, students’ loan and revitalisation of the solid mineral sector among others.
The ceremony attracted dignitaries including top government functionaries and chieftains of the ruling all Progressive Congress led by the National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje who in his remarks said Nigeria was lucky to have somebody like Tinubu leading the country at this point in time.
For one of the book authors, Prof Tai Balofin, the decision to write the book was based on the belief in the integrity of President Tinubu to make Nigeria great again.
The highpoint of the ceremony was a poetry presentation titled “Ode to a king maker who became King.
