Lack Of Funds, Major Setback To Ambassadors Appointment – Tuggar

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar has attributed lack of funding as one of the major reasons Ambassadors are yet to be appointed for foreign missions.

He disclosed this at the ministerial briefing in Abuja to mark one year anniversary of the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration.

The Minister said the current administration took over an empty purse, which made it difficult for many missions to receive adequate funding for their smooth-running adding that, there was no need to send an ambassador to a foreign mission without money to run the places.

The Minister said as part of the President, Tinubu’s administration’s 4Ds foreign policy’s direction y, €250 million investment was achieved from the Netherlands to boost existing businesses.

Ambassador Tuggar also used the occasion to inform Nigerians of the $14 billion worth of investment commitments from Indian investors across ICT, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Defence, Power, Telecom, Space Communications, Digital solutions among others.
