The Defence Headquarters has.confirmed the killing of an army officer, with four soldiers wounded in an ambush by Terrorists along Road Buratai -Buni Gari on Friday, 5th April 2024.
This is contained in a statement by Major General Edward Buba,Director, Defence Media Operations made available to the press on sunday in Abuja,
The statement said Troops reinforcement pursued the Terrorists to their hideout within the Timbuktu Triangle with six of them neutralised,while others ran in disarray.
According to General Buba, troops recovered assorted weapons from the bandits comprising 5 AK 47 rifles and 103 rounds of the 7. 62mm special ammunition.
He said Troops are in hunt for the remnant terrorist that fled the firefight.
