The Federal government has been urged to take more proactive measures to tackle the worsening insecurity challenges in the Country.
The President of Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Israel Akanji gave the advice at the graduation ceremony of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary in Abuja.
Rev Akanji who expressed worry over the activities of bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements in Kaduna and other northern states, said they posed serious threats to national security and the people.
The Cleric however called for a more proactive approach by the federal government and security agencies to deal with the situation.
Speaking on the relevance of the occasion to nations building, the President of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Prof Ola Ayankeye stated with optimism that the virtues already inculcated on the graduands would be translated into the society to make it a better place.
The high point of the event, was the presentation of awards and certificates to the graduands.
