Delta Media Forum (DMF), a distinguished assembly of media professionals based in Abuja and originating from Delta State, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Delta State, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, on his resounding victory at the Supreme Court.
A statement by Chris Onokpegu, acting Secretary DMF said Governor Oborevwori’s triumph at the apex court serves as a testament to the overwhelming support and affection bestowed upon him by the people of Delta State.
While acknowledging this victory, the Forum implores Governor Oborevwori to redirect his focus towards effective governance, emphasizing the prompt and uncompromised completion of ongoing projects in the State.
DMF called on the Governor to foster reconciliation, engaging with individuals of visionary intellect to catalyze transformative changes in the State. Also, the media practitioners advocated for a concentrated effort on the development of rural areas.
Mr. Benjamin Ubiri, the Coordinator of the Forum, expressed his jubilation at the verdict’s outcome, stating, “As a Forum, we joyfully celebrate with the People of Delta State and Governor Chief Sheriff Oborevwori for the triumph at the apex court.
“This unequivocally concludes the courtroom distractions that have impeded the governor and his team. With this resolution, we urge Governor Oborevwori to intensify his focus and extend a hand of collaboration to all, regardless of political affiliations.
“We also implore Governor Oborevwori to attentively consider the insights of those with innovative ideas for advancing our beloved State. Furthermore, we encourage the Governor to invest in human development, particularly focusing on the youths, to deter them from engaging in criminal activities,” he emphasized.
