A Civil Society Organization under the aegis of the Centre for Credible Leadership and Citizens Awareness has urged President TInubu to call the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Prof Mahmood Yakubu to order over allegations of abuse of court orders.
Addressing a news conference in Abuja, the Executive Director of the Group Nwambu Gabriel expressed worry over the refusal of the INEC Chairman to respect the judgement of FCT high court on favour of Chief Edozie Njokwu as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
Explaining further on the role of rule of law in the protection of the nations democracy, the Group urged the INEC boss to do the needful inline with the statutory obligation of the commission as an unbiased electoral umpire.
The group also sought the intervention of the Minister of Justice and the Attorney General of the Federation as well as the National Security Adviser to the President to ensure the sanctity of the Judiciary is safeguarded.
