Nigeria-China Partner On Infrastructural Dev., Trade, Economic Cooperation.
China has again reaffirmed its commitment to support Nigeria’s infrastructure development, trade and economic cooperation in order to enhance the existing bilateral ties between the two countries.
Director-General, China’s Department of African Affairs, Mr Wu Peng, disclosed this in Abuja when he led a high-level Chinese delegation on a visit to Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar.
The visit according to him is very symbolic as it will further discussions on infrastructural development as well as prepare grounds for a potential Ministerial and Presidential visit later this year.
The delegation while pointing out its recent loan to the railway project, emphasised on China’s existing involvement in major Nigerian projects across the country.
Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador, Yusuf Tuggar highlighted infrastructure as a cornerstone of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Development Agenda.
He further assured of Nigeria’s keen interest in the Belt and Road Initiative.
The two countries however, expressed the desire to further expand trade and economic cooperation.
