The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has debunked insinuation in some quarter of an alleged move to zone the Edo state governorship position in the 21st September Governorship election.
APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko who disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja after the party’s engagement with stakeholders from the state said the party has approved direct primary for Edo Governorship Primary election.
He said the party is working hard to reclaim the state from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Hon Maseko who cautioned against unnecessary pre election litigations urged the Governorship aspirants to promote unity and approach the primary election in one formidable front.
Only one aspirant whose name was not mentioned at the briefing has so far procured the APC Governorship nomination form.
