Nigeria’s Presidential Election Tribunal: Garba Replaces Bulkachuwa
After weeks of unprecedented recess due to the recusation of its chairman, The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal has commenced sitting once again, with Justice Mohammed Garba as replacement for Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, the Tribunal’s previous chairman. Garba, is the Presiding Justice of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal. Meanwhile, the Coalition For Change, C4C and its presidential candidate, Geff Chizee Ojinka, has withdrawn its petition against the February 23 presidential election. Though the reasons for their action was not disclosed, they urged the tribunal to strike out their case. Point
