The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation seeks collaboration with the National Population Commission in the area of data sharing.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Betta Edu, who made the disclosure during a courtesy visit by the Chairman of the National Population Commission, Hon. Isah Kwarra in Abuja, underscored the importance of population data in delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration.
She challenged the NPC on the need to initiate accurate population data that would assist the ministry in planning humanitarian interventions across Nigeria.
Earlier in his remarks, the NPC Chairman, Hon Isa Kwarra the commission resolve to provide accurate population data from the forthcoming population and housing census.
Assurances by the NPC to support the ministry’s efforts in providing humanitarian interventions to vulnerable Nigerians was also emphasised at the briefing.
