The Labour Party says it has accepted the judgement of the supreme court that upheld the election of President Bola Tinubu.

National Organising Secretary of the Party Clement Ojukwu who gave the indication at the sidelines of the conferment of a chieftaincy title on him by Eze Ndi Igbo council in Abuja, called on the party supporters to abide by the verdict and be law abiding.

Acknowledging gray areas in the judgement, the Labour party chieftain said since it is the court of the last resort, the focus is now on the 2027 general elections.

Chief Ojukwu however made case for further amendment of the electoral act to enhance the credibility of elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

The Labour party and it’s presidential candidate Peter Obi had filed an appeal seeking the nullification of the February 25th presidential election.
